Shine on Little Star

I thought maybe the sudden surge in sequins would be just a momentary fad, but I am pleased to say that I think it might stick around for a while! So, in lieu of this sparkling obsession, I made a decision on my New Year's Eve outfit: A black sequins Topshop dress (which came all the way from the U.K.) Pictures to come later, but in the mean time, enjoy some of favorite sequins splurges on the Spring 2010 runway.

Tis The Season

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I couldn't think of a more delightful way to spend my holiday than with the friends and family that I love. Thank you Santa for being so good to me, and thank you Jesus for giving us a reason to celebrate. Now, I only hope the rest of the seasonal festivities will be just as lovely!

Merry Go Round

(all photos by Natalie Neal)

I was asked to do a shoot with Natalie Neal (a photographer in my area), for a project she was working on. Just got the photos today. Take a look! xoxo

Oh my! Thigh High!

I do love thigh-high socks, hence the reason I wore them today. Oh... and here is a little secret for everyone.... if you are looking for inexpensive, but good thick knit socks, GO TO TARGET! I know, it's hard to believe, but they sell them for only $6 dollars. I just bought 3 different colors, and now I wear them all the time. They do such a lovely job at keeping my legs warm in the chilly Utah air!

The Power Shoulder

I am slightly obsessed with the recent shoulder emphasis that I have been seeing so much of lately. I want everything from shoulder pads, embellished fringe, studs, or jewels, and even pointed shoulder caps. Love love love!

In a few weeks I will be posting a D.I.Y. project for adding shoulder pads and shoulder embellishments to spice up your old blazers, dresses, or blouses. You are sure to love it, so keep reading! xoxo

I love Lamp

Me and the BF went to Las Vegas a few weeks ago to visit some friends, where I found this neat lamp. So, of course, photos had to be take!

You know... just messing around

It's a Man's World

I can't think of anything more comfortable, or more chic than dressing like your boyfriend. I don't mean baseball hat and cargo shorts, instead blazers, slacks, and oxfords are all the craze right now, and I must admit, I am quite thrilled. So take a stroll through your man's closet to borrow some ideas (and maybe even some actual clothes!)

Floral Dress

Dress: Urban Outfitters, Boots: Wet Seal, Cardigan: Nordstrom, Fedora: Forever 21, Tights: Urban Outfitters, Rings: Vintage

Who says you can't wear summer dresses during winter? Simply throw on some tights and layer, layer, layer! Especially if you live somewhere unbearably cold (like Utah). This is how I turned my floral sundress into the fall outfitt I wore today. xoxo

Most. Fabulous. Shoes.

These shoes, from the spring 2010 John Galliano show, are simply spectacular! They remind me a bit of a twisted (but fabulous) tea party. Pearls, lace, feathers, and 6 inches tall?... what more could a girl want?

Playing in the Leaves

It was a lovely autumn day today, and on my walk home from school I decided to take the long route through some neighborhood streets I don't usually pass. I picked up some orange leaves that I found particularly beautiful, and marveled at how lovely this little world can be. Sometimes, I get so caught up in exams, and responsibilities, and trying to figure out where my life is going that I forget to take a breath and enjoy the moment. Today, I did just that. I took the long way home, and I rediscovered the beauty of just living.
