Sand and Waves
We went to the beach to enjoy the sun and water.... but I think I "enjoyed" the sun a little too much. I woke up the next day with the worst sunburn (nothing a little aloe vera can't cure). Still, it was such a lovely day and I hope there are many more to come before the summer is over. My straw beach hat just hasn't gotten enough use yet!

Del Mar Fair
1.) I lost wayyy too much money on the carnival games, trying to win a stupid stuffed banana
2.) I was a bit disgusted by the size and selection of food (chocolate covered bacon, deep fried butter? seriously?)
3.) I didn't ride any rides, because I don't trust anything that arrives on a truck and is assembled in one day
4.) I got a sweet Henna Tattoo from a crazy gypsy woman
5.) I went home a very happy girl

Circus Circus
(Model: Paulina M, Stylists: Jess Monterde and Laia Porta, Photographer: Agustina Rodriguez)
I love the styling in these photos... and even more I love the twisted, bohemian carnival aesthetic. I recently went to the Del Mar Fair, further fueling my obsession with the traveling circus. I will post those pictures later, but for now enjoy these from the Argentinian magazine, Libertarian Mag.

One of the many things I love about summer time is... the music! Music festival season is in full swing. Now that I am a working woman, I unfortunately don't have much time to galavant off to muddy fields in the middle of nowhere and shake my hair with a bunch of music loving hippies.... but I was lucky enough to attend Coachella a few months back. I know it may be late, but here are some pics from the wonderful weekend.

Proenza Schouler
The Fall 2010 collection cemented Proenza Schouler in my list of favorite designers. A relatively young label, only started in 2002, designers Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough have quickly made a name for themselves in the fashion world. I love everything about this collection. It is full of bold geometric tribal prints, feminine frocks with an edgy twist, and with many designers sticking to neutral tones for spring, it was refreshing to see a lovely color palette of deep greens and blues. xoxo
